
Rock Township Ambulance District Partners with
St. Louis HELP to Fortify Mobile Integrated Healthcare Program
St. Louis HELP Also Broadens Services in Jefferson County planning New HELP Hub
ST. LOUIS – Of the nearly 12,000 calls that the Rock Township Ambulance District responded to last year, among the most common was related to falls in the home.fortifies that initiative with a supply of free home healthcare equipment including wheelchairs, walkers, canes and more.
“The partnership with St. Louis HELP allows us to deliver more immediate fall prevention measures to help residents navigate their home and lives,” noted Nick Farrel, division chief, Rock Township mobile integrated healthcare. “We will be able to identify need and store home health equipment at our headquarters to deliver to those who struggle with ambulatory or other issues requiring home healthcare equipment.” The Rock Township Ambulance District is located at 6707 St. Luke's Church Rd and will also be the site of four St. Louis HELP equipment drives this year, the first of which is slated for July 11, 2026.
In addition, St. Louis HELP is also improving overall service in Jefferson County by moving its Crystal City “HELP Hub” to an area church in the area. St. Louis HELP is working out the final details and will be sharing them soon. St. Louis HELP’s other Jefferson County HELP hub is located at St. Martin UCC at 3229 High Ridge Boulevard in High Ridge, Mo.
Since 2008, the nonprofit St. Louis HELP has been collecting, repairing, cleaning and giving away home medical equipment to anyone in need for free, regardless of income. This includes:

Wheelchairs, both adult and pediatric;

Walkers, crutches, canes;

Reachers and grabbers;

Toileting equipment;

Pediatric equipment;

Hoyer lifts;
-
Hospital beds;
-
Shower chairs/stools and tub transfer benches;

Shower, tub and wall grab bars; and
-
Lift chairs;
In addition, late last year, St. Louis HELP announced a partnership with the mobile Rural Parish Clinic of the Archdiocese of St. Louis to identify need and provide home health equipment to rural counties. This includes two poorest counties in the St. Louis Archdiocese – Washington and St. Francois counties – along with Jefferson, St. Genevieve, Franklin, Warren and Lincoln counties.
