The Mouthful: Dielman
Rock Island Industrial Drive

An acquired taste. That’s probably the kindest way to describe our longtime home on Dielman Rock Island. It’s been with STLHELP since 2008—a mouthful when giving directions, and… let’s be honest… a little rough around the edges. Charming in its own way, but aged, quirky, and not exactly designed for what we do today. Tight corners, concrete floors in the office space, and a layout that kept us (and our equipment) constantly on the move. We’re grateful for everything that space made possible. It helped us serve thousands of neighbors over the years.

But it’s time. Our new location gives us a more usable layout, a cleaner environment, and the ability to serve people with greater care and efficiency. It will also save money—reducing our expenses while strengthening our operations. Kids will be fitted on carpet instead of concrete. Equipment will be organized instead of stacked and shuffled.
Same mission. Better space. And maybe—just maybe—a little less character. Thank you for being part.

Please consider making a contribution to help us move.

Your support will help:

  • Increase the number of individuals we can serve

  • Improve safety for staff and volunteers

  • Create better organized, more efficient storage for thousands of pieces of equipment

  • Ensure faster access for families and healthcare partners

  • Prevent disruptions in service during the transition

What we need:

  • Shower installation to sanitize donated equipment

  • Shelving, racking, and storage systems

  • Ladders

  • Facility setup and signage

  • Temporary storage during transition

  • Moving and setup labor

  • Additional rent/utilities during the transition period

This is a one-time investment that will strengthen STLHELP’s ability to serve thousands of people each year.
