June 4, 2025 – St. Louis Disaster Relief
STLHELP is honored to partner with the American Red Cross in disaster response. Executive Director Karen Lanter, ARC Division Disability Manager Mike Bunch, and ARC Disaster Services’ Robert Altenbrand helped secure dozens of free items for neighbors impacted by tornado damage.
👧 Pediatric Equipment Needs
Kids with special needs deserve equipment that fits now. Insurance delays and high costs often leave families waiting months. Thanks to generous donations, STLHELP provides lightly used pediatric equipment that kids grow out of—refurbished, cleaned, and freely distributed to those in need.
“Parents often report that the pediatric equipment ordered through insurance arrives only after their child has already outgrown it.”
💜 Helping Forgotten Children
School nurse Toby Arman of Gibson Elementary had one mission: help seven-year-old Paola attend school. Born with spina bifida, Paola had never walked into a classroom—until Toby reached out to STLHELP.
Within days, Paola received a wheelchair that fit. Today, she is in school, full of confidence, finally having what she needs to belong.
📍 In Our Community
