BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Nancy Murphy, President

Nancy is retired from Barnes/Jewish Hospital where she worked for more than 13 years. Nancy also has worked in home health, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. In the past, she frequently referred patients to STL Help for equipment needed to remain in their homes. She has seen what a difference this can make for those who are unable to purchase the items they need to provide for their basic needs. Nancy has volunteered with Rebuild St Louis and is a Team Co-Captain with Pedal the Cause. She attended Rosati Kain High School and has a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from University of Missouri, Columbia. Nancy lives in St. Louis with her husband, Tom. They have 4 children and one grandchild.

Corinne Martin, Secretary

Corinne comes to St. Louis HELP from Barnes Jewish Hospital where she works as an Occupational Therapist in downtown St. Louis. A native of Northern Kentucky, Corrie heard about St. Louis HELP's great mission while she was still a student at Washington University. "St. Louis HELP is recognized as a good community resource."

And a resource we are. Corrie points out that as an occupational therapist she often refers her patients to the charity and knows that St. Louis HELP is helping address health disparities and gaps in care in St. Louis.

Her real motivator for joining the St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program's leadership is the challenge she faces in providing follow up care for her patients who receive acute care. They often require home medical equipment to continue to get better. With increasing denials, high deductibles and supply chain shortages, however, patients need help.

Corrie graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University and the Washington University Program in Occupational Therapy. She is married, loves traveling, hiking and raising Bootsy Collins, her family's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy.

Ron Chenault, Treasurer

Ron is a retired senior designengineer from Boeing/McDonnell Aircraft Company.  This work included design changes for the crew station, new electronic systems and airframe subsystems. He and his wife, Gloria, became HELP volunteers in 2008 as part of New Covenant Church home group. The New Covenant Church home group also serves at Loaves & Fishes providing hot meals, music, and assisting with food pantry items for low-income people and at the Jesus Love Feast in the fall providing meals, entertainment, and clothing for homeless people.  Ron graduated from Tri-State University (B.S. Mechanical Engineering) and Gloria graduated from Ball State University (B.S Education).
