NOW ACCEPTING POWER WHEELCHAIRS/ SCOOTERS

At long last, the St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program (STLHELP) is accepting donations of used Power Wheelchairs and Scooters in running condition. "STLHELP used to accept and give away power chairs," said Karen Lanter, executive director, "until the insurance carrier eliminated coverage. We are pleased to have restored that coverage to provide this important resource to local people."

Power Chair donations are welcome during normal business hours:
9 am to 1:30 pm, Wed. Th and Sat

STLHELP is building an inventory before distributing any power chairs. All power chairs distributed are loaned as is, meaning we cannot repair, replace or in any way assist with the maintenance of wheelchairs.

NOTE: WE PRIMARILY RECEIVE POWER WHEELCHAIRS.
WHEN WE HAVE INVENTORY TO DISTRIBUTE,
THEY ARE LOANED ON A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE BASIS.
